On September 26, 1946, the first issue of Tintin newspaper was published with a new Tintin adventure: "The Temple of the Sun".
This publication follows the desire to capitalize on the success of the series "TINTIN" created in 1929 by Hergé for the weekly supplement of the Belgian newspaper "The Twentieth Century". Supplement called "Little Twentieth"
The first 9 albums of TINTIN will appear in the small twentieth between January 1929 and May 1940 date of the invasion of Belgium by the German army.
It is in the "Tintin Journal" that the subsequent adventures of TINTIN will appear from September 1946.
The Tintin Journal, which during its golden age sold 300,000 copies every week, saw its circulation declined in the 80s in favour of a more adult comic press such as PILOTE, TO SUIVRE, FLUIDE GLACIAL ...
