In 6 brief adventures at the edge of the universe, facing cosmic winds, a red-eyed earthling, standing on a stone throne, flies into space. This is LONE SLOANE, mercenary, lonely hero, pirate of the future rubbing shoulders with the gods. This book is a must in the world of modern science fiction.

With his mythical hero, Lone sloane, PHILIPPE DRUILLET, upsets the habits of storytelling. His drawing comes out of the too narrow frame of the square and the board, to create majestic paintings. The colors burst, the characters are everywhere, the text explodes. Druillet invents an excess that shoves graphic conventions. The grandiose architecture rubs shoulders with the monsters of the cosmos inspired by LOVECRAFT. Throughout his work, Druillet constructs a baroque, hallucinatory universe.
In 1977, GEORGES LUCAS drew on the drawings of DRUILLET, his inspiration for STAR WARS. RIDLEY SCOTT did the same in 1985 for the film LEGEND.

Discovered by Goscinny, screenwriter of the series ASTÉRIX, Philippe Druillet is the co-founder with Moebius and J.P. Dionnet of the publishing house "HUMANO-SES ASSOCIÉS" and the monthly METAL HURLANT, which would revolutionize comics and pop culture in general.
