HERGÉ draws his inspiration for the lunar adventure from the programs of WERNER VON BRAUN on the V2 and the research of HERMANN OBERTH who was technical adviser for the film by FRITZ LANG "THE WOMAN ON THE MOON" (1929), whose screenplay , the sets and technological prowess are found almost completely in OBJECTIF LUNE and ON A MARCHÉ SUR LA LUNE.
HERGÉ also consulted "The Man Among the Stars" by Bernard Heuvelmans and "Astronautics" by Alexandre Ananoff
