Wright's Biscuits was a company founded in 1790 that manufactured ship's biscuits. By the time of World War II, Wright employed about 300 people. When the ship's biscuit market began to decline, Wright began marketing biscuits to the general public. Wright's Biscuit closed in 1973, but the factory reopened as Lowe's Dog Biscuits. It closed in 1983 and the factory was demolished.
