Writer, essayist, poet, Charles Péguy (1873-1914) was a committed intellectual. After being a libertarian and anticlerical socialist activist, he befriended Catholicism and nationalism in 1908.
Known for his poetry and essays, including "Our Youth" and "The Money", he expresses in his writings his social concerns and his rejection of the modern age where all the virtues of the past are altered.
The central core of his work is his Christian faith, which is not satisfied with the social conventions of the time.
