Checked tweed/mohair jacket and skirt set in shades of navy, two-tone mauve and red from the Jacob-Crowley brand from the 70s.

A semi-fitted jacket with long sleeves and a tailored lapel collar (the collar falls rounded).
4 French buttonholes on the front of 1 inch or 2.5 cm and 4 plastic buttons in the shape of a navy flower with a pearly center in a mauve shade of 3/4 inch or 1.5 cm.
The jacket features two details imitating patch pockets.

Dry clean, exterior, 84% wool, 15.5 viscose 1% nylon.
Pink acetate lining.

"Benjamin Jacob (1892-1975) and John H. Crowley (1879-1963) formed a business partnership in 1914. In 1919, the partnership was incorporated as the Jacob Crowley Manufacturing Company Ltd., specializing in women's clothing. The company was not only a pioneer in Winnipeg's garment industry, but also played a key role in introducing unionism to the needlework trades. In 1988, after 74 years of continuous operation by members of the founding families, the company ceased production." from the Lemelson center.
