Blake and Mortimer's last adventure drawn and written by E.P. Jacobs (1904-1987). The second part of the story is made by Bob de Moor from the pencils and the script left during his lifetime by Jacobs.
Passionate about opera, initially an advertising illustrator, Jacobs works for the Belgian magazine Bravo! and debuted in comics during the Second World War by completing an adventure of FLASH GORDON in place of the author ALEX RAYMOND whose plates no longer arrive in Belgium because of the world conflict. He was later inspired by FLASH GORDON to create "LE RAYON U".
He participates with HERGÉ in the creation of the JOURNAL TINTIN and creates the series BLAKE ET MORTIMER which will have 8 episodes.
Like HERGÉ, JACOBS is considered one of the masters of the clear line and the Belgian school of comics.
