Little girl's vintage dress from the 1940s in raspberry color, hand knitted in fine baby wool
Model with short balloon sleeves with honeycomb finish edge.
The honeycomb stitch is also repeated around the top of the waist.
The Claudine style collar is knitted in rice stitch and this stitch is also repeated at the edge of the dress in a half diamond shape.
5 buttonholes on the back with 5 mother-of-pearl shank buttons.
Three more buttons on the front as decoration.
The dress has been minimally mended below the collar in front, you can see the threads on the back but very difficult to see on the front (see photo).

Chest circumference below arm 20 1/2 inches or 52 cm.
Height from below shoulder to edge 15 1/2 inches or 39.5 cm.
Underside of sleeve arm 2 1/2 inches or 6.5 cm.
Equivalent in knitting to 1 1/2 Canadian years.
